UH OH! JEWISH COMMUNITY FLIPS OUT ON WHOOPI GOLDBERG…AND THEY SHOULD!

I am a Black woman who is pro-Jewish, pro-Zionism, and pro-Israel, but y’all know Whoopi Goldberg didn’t mean any harm when she stated on ABC’s The View that the Jewish Holocaust was about “…humans mistreating other humans.” However, Jewish people have a right to be angry. If slavery weren’t about race, White people would have been in chains.

While the co-host is wrong, Black people in the entertainment biz have too much wealth not to consider pooling their resources to create tv networks for themselves. This is not to have Black-owned networks exist so Black artists can continue to offend but work in television without being choked up with fear of losing our jobs every time we misspeak.

When we have our own, the Goldbergs and Nick Cannons in the industry won’t have to be publically humiliated for their mistakes. And, when a nipple is accidentally exposed on live tv, a Black woman doesn’t have to grovel to get back into the good graces of others.
